Follow @texasufa for everything UFA.
Founded in 1951, what started as a small group of students passionate about finance has grown into a community of 300+ members with alumni at the world's top firms.
Our mission remains unchanged: to provide a welcoming, high-impact environment where any student — regardless of background or experience — can explore their curiosity about finance and build the skills to act on it.
The Analyst Program is designed for underclassmen and new members with no prior finance experience. In addition to the general member meeting, analysts meet weekly for dedicated training sessions to build the skills needed to succeed in UFA and beyond.
Each week, our Directors of Investments and Consulting lead sessions covering accounting, valuation, financial modeling, and market analysis: everything you need to hit the ground running in UFA and in recruiting.
Gain exposure to high-finance and consulting through weekly lectures and assignments that build knowledge from the ground up.
Participate in stock pitches, case-style exercises, and hands-on projects — turning technical concepts into practical experience.
Connect with a community of like-minded peers while receiving insights on recruiting, resume formatting, and networking.
Every analyst competes twice — once in the fall, once in the spring.
Analyst teams select any publicly traded stock on a U.S. exchange, build their investment thesis, and defend it in front of a room. Top teams advance to a final round.
Analyst teams are assigned a real corporate case and given approximately one week to develop and present their recommendation.
The Investment Associate Program is where serious finance preparation meets a tight-knit community. You'll build the technical skills recruiters want and the relationships that last long after graduation.
The technical training is rigorous. But ask any Investment Associate what they remember most, and they'll tell you it's the people.
Get paired with UFA upperclassmen who guide you through recruiting, technical prep, and everything they wish they knew when they started.
Weekly sessions covering market-moving news, macro trends, and sector developments. The fastest way to build the market intuition recruiters test for.
Build and present stock pitches by industry. Research a company in-depth, develop thesis points, model cash flows, analyze risk, and pitch your findings to the team.
Manage a real portfolio, analyze market trends, and pitch investment ideas backed by your own research.
Master Excel-based financial modeling, including DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and LBO modeling.
Perform in-depth analysis of public companies and contribute your findings to our annual equity research journal.
Work through real-world case studies that simulate the analysis and decision-making expected in finance interviews and on the job.
Step into leadership within the team. Members take on roles as industry heads, fund managers, and social leads.
Access resources for technical interview prep, resume reviews, and networking strategies to land roles in IB, PE, and AM.
UFA's Consulting Associates tackle real business problems, build client-ready deliverables, and develop the structured thinking that top firms look for.
Outside the casework, you'll find a group that genuinely enjoys spending time together, from team socials and dinners to friendships that last long after graduation.
Practice live case interviews. Sharpen your structured thinking and communication under realistic interview conditions.
Explore consulting frameworks applied to real industries. Sessions cover market sizing, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations.
Build and present consulting deliverables to simulated clients. Develop slide decks, synthesize findings, and defend your recommendations.

Whether you're a prospective member, a company looking to recruit our students, or a business interested in working with our team, we want to hear from you.
We'll get back to you within 48 hours.
UFA is built around you. We offer the breadth, access, and community to explore every corner of finance on your own terms, without locking you into a single path before you're ready.
From bulge-bracket bankers to PE professionals, we bring real practitioners into the room so you do not have to cold-email your way into a conversation.
IB, PE, asset management, consulting, corporate finance, tech. UFA is the only finance organization at UT that covers all of it under one roof, so you can explore before you commit.
No matter where you are in your finance journey, there is a place for you in UFA. General Member, Analyst, or Associate, you choose how deep you go.
Every Wednesday we feed you. Showing up is easy when there is a meal waiting, and it is part of what makes UFA feel like a community rather than just another club.
Three in four Investment and Consulting Associates began in the Analyst Program. UFA rewards commitment, and the analyst program is the proven pipeline into our most selective teams.
UFA members have landed internships and full-time roles at the most respected firms in finance, from Wall Street banks to Texas-based institutions.
General membership is always open. Analyst and Associate recruitment cycles launch at the start of every fall and spring semester.
